BIU-153V offers simultaneous or independent emulation of a bus controllerand up to 31 remote terminals plus broadcast, all on a single VME-sizecard, adapted to workstations. The architecture features 64 K words ofdual-ported RAM to ensure immediate VME host access to the bus data.This means bus-related emulation can be performed in realtime withoutintervention from the host. A large user-programmable memory providesflexibility in configuring BIU-153V to meet the user's data handlingneeds. It features comprehensive interrupt control and extensive errorinjection. When emulating remote terminals, BIU-153V can configure eachemulated remote terminal independently. In addition to the BIU hardwaremodule, support and application-specific programs are available for theBIU-153V. A comprehensive library of routines provides quick start-up ofthe VME MIL-STD-1533 application.
